Welcome. The Yale College Writing Center supports writers and writing teachers through the resources on this website, free tutoring at the Center and in the residential colleges, and through workshops about writing and teaching techniques.

The Writing Center's mission supports the most fundamental aims of a liberal arts education: to help develop intellectual abilities and discipline that will enrich all aspects of life. Whitney Rakich

New Saybrook tutor!

January, 2013: The Writing Center welcomes Whitney Rakich to the post of Saybrook College Writing Tutor. Whitney holds a PhD in American Studies (University of New Mexico, 2012), an MA in Spanish (University of New Mexico, 2008), and a BA in Iberian Literature and Fiction Writing (Northwestern University, 2004). She is a writer of short and long fiction.
