If you need information or support for your writing, we hope you will find what you need on this site. If you have questions or suggestions, please contact us. Good luck with your writing.

Writing Director wins Faculty Teaching Award
Alfred Guy, the R.W.B. Lewis Director of the Writing Center, was the 2014 winner of the Richard Brodhead teaching prize at Yale. The award highlighted students’ sense that his teaching creates space “for a meaningful conversation in which every member of the class can participate.” In the video linked below, Guy discusses what excites him about teaching Yale undergraduates.

Greetings from Trumbull College’s new Writing Tutor

My name is Adam Sexton, and I am the new Trumbull College Writing Tutor.  I currently teach two courses in the English department (“Reading and Writing the Modern Essay” and “Reading Fiction for Craft”); I also have worked as a “Daily Themes” tutor.  My published books include Master Class in Fiction Writing, and I have been interviewed about teaching, writing, and literature by the New York Times, the Washington Post, and npr.com.  I live in Brooklyn with my wife and son.
